New Disposable diapers

Items will benefit the Emmaus House, Lazarus House and the Pregnancy Care Center

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered ministry that helps people of all walks of life discover how to deal with their hurts, habits and hang-ups with God's help.  We understand how hard it can be to reach out for help. 

Celebrate Recovery is a place where it’s okay to not be okay. The good news is we don’t need to stay that way, because God has provided a way out. It’s a safe place for individuals to overcome co-dependency, addictions, life challenges, and much more. 

Granite United will be starting Celebrate Recovery on Friday nights beginning SEPTEMBER 2012. 

We are looking for people to serve on our team on various levels:  greeters, audio/visual, musicians, clean up crew, and dinner/cafe team.

WHAT IS IT? 

Baptism is a public profession of faith in Jesus Christ. It’s an “outward expression of an inward change.” Through this ancient ritual, a believer in Jesus publicly declares that they have made the decision to follow Him. This is a time to celebrate!

BAPTISM IS A SYMBOL OF SALVATION

Much like a wedding ring is the symbol of one’s marriage commitment, baptism is a symbol of God’s promise to forgive us and wash away our sin.

BAPTISM IS A PICTURE OF NEW LIFE

Baptism illustrates my old life being buried, and my new life being raised to live for Christ.

WHY DO IT?

• Jesus Christ Himself was baptized and we are called to follow His example. (Mark 1:9)
• Jesus Christ commands every new believer to be baptized. (Matthew 28:19-20)
• Baptism demonstrates that you really are an obedient follower of Christ. (Mark 16:16)
• It’s a physical demonstration of the spiritual commitment you’ve made to follow Jesus.
• Baptism is “going public” with your faith in Jesus Christ as your Forgiver & Leader!
